2Day Film Challenge

We are very happy to announce Holbeach Film’s Participation in the LAMDA - 48 hours film competition.
As the title says, we have 48 hours to conceive off, write, shoot, edit, score effects and music and then finally export it to the competition’s website. Film needs to be between 3 and 5 minutes long and we get one prop and one line of dialogue that we have to use in the film - the rest being completely up to us.
How has the challenge been?
Robert was writing this on day 2 of 2…so bear with us.
We got the pitch on Friday at 7PM and we need to send it in by tonight( Sunday) at 7PM.
It has been a fantastically beautiful and tiring experience. On Friday at 7PM a few of us met at Steph’s, bringing with us a variation of foods, fruits and snacks - got our line and our prop, had our big crew on stand-by in chat for ideas and we all started brainstorming.
Tens of ideas were thrown on the table, what we ended up with was a dream-like drama thriller about loss, grief, mystery and the unbound depths of parental love. We are very excited for everyone to see it!
Then yesterday(Saturday) we shot from more or less 6:30AM up until 9PM and to our very happy realisation we managed to get all the coverage done in one day. For a five minute film we probably ended up shooting 4 hours of footage and we are currently going through it in the editing suite.
